About the student view
Student view allows teachers to preview the course from a student's perspective. It is what students will see when the Kickstart course format is enabled and no content has been added to the course yet.
It displays a greeting, "Welcome to [course name]", along with the student instructions, if any are provided in the course settings.
Below the welcome section, all enrolled teachers and non-editing teachers are listed. Each staff member is shown with:
their profile picture
a link to view their full profile
a link to send them a message
This layout ensures that even an empty course page presents meaningful information to already enrolled students, offering a more engaging and informative entry point.
How to access the student view
To access the student view, either enable the Kickstart course format and view the course or navigate to More > Kickstart using the course navigation bar. Then use the selector in the top left corner and switch to Student view.
