Overview
The availability plugin that comes with Content Designer Pro adds a restriction type to Moodle's restrict access settings. You can use it to control the availability of any Moodle activity depending on how a student responded to a poll or rating in a Content Designer activity.
This allows you to create dynamic learning paths where access to content depends on participation or specific answers in previous Content Designer activities.
How to use the Content Designer restriction
Go to the Moodle activity you want to restrict and edit its settings.
Scroll to the Restrict access section.
Click Add restriction and choose Content Designer.
In the Content Designer restriction settings:
Select the Content Designer activity you want to refer to.
Select the specific poll or rating within that activity.
Define the condition:
No response
Any response
A specific value of the poll or rating scale
Once saved, the activity will only become available to students who meet the condition you’ve defined.
This is a powerful way to create adaptive and engaging learning paths, tailored to students’ participation and choices.
Note: The availability plugin must be installed separately. For more information refer to the installation instructions of Content Designer.
