Reports for the automation engine

To open the report of a specific automation instance, click on the calendar icon in the instances overview. The report lists every notification that has been sent or is queued to be sent. If a notification has a configured interval, only the next queued notification is listed. The table features information about the automation instance and its notification: course full name, subject, template reference, instances, reference, full name, time created, scheduled time, and status.

Next to the subject of the notification you will find a blue information icon. Clicking on it will open the preview of the notification in a modal window.

If you wish to view an extensive report of all notifications triggered by the automation engine, go to Site administration > Reports > Report builder > Custom reports. In the list of custom reports you will find the report “Automation schedule instances” which can be opened by clicking the three point menu and clicking on ‘View report’.

Reports for the Pulse activities

To open the report of a Pulse activity, go inside your Moodle course to Reports > Pulse reports. This will present you with a list of all Pulse activities in this course. Click ‘View report’ or on the name of a Pulse activity to open its report. The report lists all enrolled users of the course and how they were affected by the Pulse activity.

The table features the following information: First and last name, last access to course, invitation, reaction, first reminder, second reminder, recurring reminder, and completion criteria.

Note: Only sent notifications will be displayed in the table. Queued notifications will not be displayed.
